In 2006, Kiran Prasad was eagerly searching for his first home. He found a great real estate agent, but like most home buyers today, he also made use of the many resources available. He searched multiple online home sites, received real-time home alerts, toured open houses, took notes, snapped photos of homes he liked…and created a spreadsheet to track it all (yes, Kiran is an engineer). He simply wanted to find and purchase his first home with confidence, but he soon became frustrated. The many home search sites often gave him conflicting and inaccurate information. Keeping track of his home search and the market took significant time and effort. And most of all, he was frustrated because he knew he wasn’t fully leveraging his most valuable and knowledgeable asset, his real estate agent.

Kiran knew there had to be a better way to take the multiple slices of information, conversations, and interactions necessary for a successful transaction, and make them work together in a simple manner. That’s how the idea behind Sliced Simple was born. Since then, the idea and the team have grown, but the focus has not. We want to make the home buying and selling experience better.

Sliced Simple empowers home buyers and sellers with powerful, needed tools, but its true value comes from how it lets them leverage the knowledge and experience of their real estate agent. As the central figure in a real estate transaction, real estate agents have the most impact and influence on the home buying and selling experience. Thus, we designed Sliced Simple from the point of view of the real estate agent. Sliced Simple enables real estate agents to be more effective and to tightly collaborate with their buyers and sellers, resulting in a better real estate experience.

From the beginning, we have been led by three guiding principles that have made Sliced Simple so unique:

  • The agent is central
    The local real estate agent is (and will remain) central to the real estate transaction. By providing agents with better solutions, we believe that they can add more value to and spend more time with their buyers and sellers.
  • Build a single, integrated solution
    We should satisfy the needs of real estate agents, home buyers, and home sellers with a single, integrated solution. We did not want to be another real estate software provider with a dozen individual products for sale. Our features must work together seamlessly, and they must work anywhere (at home, at the office, and on the road).
  • Open collaboration leads to better results
    The internet has brought increased transparency and accountability. We believe that openness, sharing, and collaboration are the pillars of a better real estate experience.

The result is a modern, innovative solution that lets real estate agents and home buyers and sellers partner to achieve superior results.

Sliced Simple launched in Summer 2010, but we’re just getting started. We’re continuing to innovate behind our guiding principles with many exciting features. Sliced Simple is already the foundation of a better real estate experience, and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
